Honda is already pretty close with their IVTECI... 160hp 140 ft/lbs and over 35mpg. A couple more years

 

hell yea, any car with 200+ whp and gets 35 mpg has an ideal engine imo

A guy i know is putting a 760li v12 in a 1984 524td, with the SMG.'

My engine would be a s52 m3 motor with Active Autowerks turbo and boost control, tuned for 1000 hp. or my motor... the 2.7 m20 I6 with a turbo, e to i head swap, port and polished, with 2 non sequential turbos.
