A flat 10 or 12 cylinder. Lots of valves, high compression, huge cams, ITBs...

yea that would work.

1. i like the engine and this thread, theres not much else to it!
2. quit being a fuckin post nazi, if anything i added to this thread unlike the useless comment you just made. im sry for not being online 24/7 and missed out on the first day it was posted.

i would also do an m10 block - s14b23 crank - 02' rods - 93mm bore - je 10.5 cr - 85' head

thing would be awesome

Pontiac 3800 series III gen. supercharged
comp off road cams
slp ecu
2.6'' sc pulley
roller rockers
studded
basically 100% built motor, about 450hp to the wheels for less than $6k in parts, with paddle shiftersand a heads up display

You would need more than just that to get those numbers w/o insane KR in that motor.

it was a rough estimate but i believe it is plausible seeing as how a stock 05 gtp w/ the aggressive off road cams pushes 305hp/3xxfwtq...i was gonna build up my gtp...but im waiting for the factory warranty to expire...dont want to void it...the motor is extremely responsive to internal modifications and pulley swaps, etc..dont want to start an inter-web argument...but i see no trouble getting those #'s w/ the above mentioned mods, the 3rd gen motors were also under rated with 260hp...they actually push 271hp. helluva car, rarely thought of as a race car though...maily b/c of there stock weights and size.

Theres a helluva difference between a underated 271 crank hp and the aforementioned 450 hp to the wheels. GM can't make a auto FWD trans to save their life (the 4t65E-HD). I've been down the 3800 route before;
