I wouldn't be an asshole about it, I'd actually give the guy props for modding the car so heavily and going through all the pains of tuning and repairing broken shit. But overall, beating some $40,000 production car doesn't prove anything because chances are, the $40,000 production car can excel at a lot of other things other than just going fast (providing decent comforts as navi system, comfy seats, nice interior, excellent handling, drop top, etc.). So the whole price comparison arguement is, in the grand scheme of things, irrelevant.
