Please tell me why some of you guys angle your muffler upwards and to the left or right??

On some cars, its ok because they run the pipe from the front to the rear with no bends...but some car i see out here are just ridiculous...

If you want performance, keep it straight with less bends rather then having so many bends and think your getting something out of it....

Whats your guys opinions???

 

there trying to mimic the HYPER exhaust that was really popular like 3 years ago........

 

I had to angle mine down just a tad (1/2")so it would clear my rear type R lip....

But some of these guys pipes are just rediculous, you're right. The better your car looks, the more "reputation points" you get right? A lot of these guys have been playing NFS Underground way too long.

 

Half the time you see people doing this because they're trying to cram a shitty muffler onto a car that it doesn't fit on, so they angle it in there any way possible.

 

I know on Supras some come out at an angle because the angle exhaust comes right off the midpipe. The way the midpipe exits its basically pointing at the rear passenger side tire. So to get the muffler to point straight it would require alot of bending. However if you just make the exhaust straight it will actually look like its at an angle.

I think it looks good...Just not to an extreme
