I have a 92 Oldsmobile cutlass that I want to junk/sell/scrap. It IS driveable without problems. One brake line is busted but it still runs. The brake line burst and my gf rear-ended someone. Front end is a little messed up - needs front bumper, a headlight, blinker, and a hood to be perfect. Estimate was $800 - which included fixing an oil leak. Well my gf bought a new car instead. It's got 77k miles on it.

Any ideas. NY title in hand.

 

You could prob. get more if you sold it. If you try to scrap it you are gonna have to remove fuel tank, battery and all fluids. You take it to a junk yard they wont give much more than its price in weight. Best bet is to post it up for sale somewhere

 

youll get no mroe than 100 if you take it to a scrap yard. donate it i mean heck, it is a write off...i think

 

theres a few scrap cars guys in your area, check craigs list for them. look for one thats a LICENSED scrap dealer. if they show up with a "vsa44" form run. expect $100 - $200 for the car.

 

Call oceana salvage they will tow it and give you like 200 if you have the title I think the number is 425-7930, just google them and it will come up. They have taken two cars for me.

Ok thanks, I think I will try and sell it first, but just want some ideas in case it doesn't sell. I know the price of metals has gone up and don't want to get screwed scrapping the car.
