the truck is a standard. i was thinking about a ls1 though. is the ls1 a 350? i was thinking about going stroker to end up with like a 383.

yeah i knew i wanted a truck for duty purposes but the only real two requirements i had was either a nice sporty performance type or big beefy off road type. i wasn't really feeling the stripped toyota on steelies. it has a bed liner but im going to remove it and get a spray in just for better durability. i wont abuse the truck and there wont be anything in it all the time, but it's nice to be able to move things when i need to or bring my tools somewhere if im doing some sidework or what not.

oh ok. so you could stroke it out to a 383 right? would u need to sleeve it since its aluminum?

They are lined with an iron sleeve which limits how much you can bore the block. I've seen guys stroke it to 383 with no sleeves.
