All truth... I have been doing a ton of maint. to my E30 and have found that the Dealership is the worst place to buy parts and you can find what you need online or in a Junkyard very cheap.

It really is no more expensive than a 240 or civic as long as you're not buying from the dealer.

Shoot, Autozone has hooked me up with a lot of stuff for my E30, yes it takes them a day or two to get parts in but they have been the cheapest around.

I've done my timing belt and water pump - 80 bucks
my Fuel pressure regulator valve - 26 bucks
fuel filter - 11 bucks (shit is huge btw)
fuel lines and T junction - 5 bucks
Starter - 80 bucks and core charge that I got back
Oil / plugs /Oil filter / plug wires / Rad fluid/ Brake fluid/ air filter - same price as any other car

A great suspension setup for AutoX is going to run me $600 bucks with shocks and springs.. $900 is I want the bushings and sway bar kits with it...

Rims are pretty cheap since they are 4X100 and you can run 15s and 16s just fine.

Engines are fairly cheap and easy to swap most E30s have an LSD.

You can build Frankenstein motors for more power and cheap way to lower compression for boost....

So yeah, an E30 is a very viable option.

Great they may be cheap to maintain, but the truth to the matter is that a Honda will be cheaper. End of discussion.
