Used M3's can be had pretty cheap, but they're incredibly common and no longer popular. Here's a good OEM wheel thread over at e46fanatics:

The problem is that the E46 M3 wheels are really blingy and generic, nothing that stands out or is classic about the design so they're easy to rip off. Can't really go wrong with BBS, there's a reason it's such a popular choice, of the new stuff they have (unless you want to go classic in which case ) I'd say the CH and LM are the best looking, don't go black on dark green I saw a picture of it and I was definitely wrong, go silver or gunmetal.

PS: Faggle who posted that link to Forgiato forgot about the most interesting wheel they make (note that I said interesting, not good looking) I read about these like 2 years ago and I think i remember a figure like $5k a piece, which is ridiculous for something you can't even see:
