Well tonight my parents, myself and my fiance all went down to Hertford to watch my uncle run. My dad talked me into running. I've never run any car at the track before, so I was a little nervous

Best run of the night was a 8.96 @ 82.1 w/ a 2.18 short time. Best MPH was 82.5. I think with a little more seat time I can break some 8.80's. With that MPH I should be in the mid 13's. Not bad IMO. Only performance mod I have is an air lid. What's hurting me is my heavy ass 17x9.5/17x11 wheels.

I had a lot of shit in the car too, but that's enough with excuses. I had a blast.

Oh yeah my uncle went 5.40 @ 129.

Tube chassis El Camino. 1500HP car. 1800 on the spray, but he's never sprayed it.

I thought you trapped 82.1 when you ran an 8.7. I have the trap, but I just can't get off the line quick enough.

My car starts pulling pretty decently, but I run out of track.

 

get your 60' down a little and you'll be good. You have them huge ass 295s or some shit on the back, use 'em. I wish my tires were that wide. 245s for me.

Yeah. Well I found out after I finished running that they don't prep the track at all on Friday nights. Like I said I know the car has more in it I can feel it when it starts pulling how strong it is, but I just need to cut down that 60'.

I will tell you a lot of guys have said that when they put 17x11 ZR1's on the back they lost a couple MPH, but I don't care I was out there to have fun. I had all kinds of shit in the back including some fold up chairs. Haha

I figured you trapped 83.1 when you ran a 13.3 and Shawn traped 82.1 when he ran a 13.5. My best trap was an 82.5, so I should be around where you guys are I figured. I'd like to go to a track that's prepped though.
