Volvo Owners - Questions about 98 S70

One of my friends is looking to buy a 1998 S70...
Any things in particular we should look at?
Are they pretty reliable?
Would 5 grand for a car with 80k be too much?
It appears to be in decent looking condition.
(This is for a normal daily driving female... not looking for comments about the performance aspects of the car)

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
-Tom

If its in good condition, 5K is a pretty good price. Downside is they can cost some $$$ to fix though, but they are fairly reliable and get good gas mileage.
