Re: TURBO VS. SUPERCHARGER
My .02 . For a b18b I would probably get a supercharger for more power
on the lowend. Hondas are known for there lack of torque especially
in the lower rpms which is good to have for daily driving. However more hp gains
can be had with a turbo setup and it would get you down the qtr much faster.
So it really depends on what you are trying to accomplish with your car.
You also have more options to choose from with a turbo setup rather than
a super charger because there are more applications.
I'll post some links to some sites to help you out.

Yea, turbos have to spool, and superchargers dont....if u put similar applications with similar boost on two similar cars, the supercharged car would take it off the line, but the turboed one would soon catch up...and pass

a smaller compressor and turbine thus giving it a quicker spool.
This would be ideal for a engine which doesnt get busy before 4000 rpms.
The only draw back is in the higher rpms that turbo would not be efficient
any more which wouldnt matter too much if your engine is better in the higher rpm range.
Now if you want to see gains in the higher rpms get a bigger turbo. You
could possibly get a good pull all the way to redline depending on how its
tuned however you will run into turbo lag.
But if your engine is torquey down low then you will be ok.
A boost controler can help by giving you full boost
sooner . Its all in how your set up is tuned.
Overall you can get more gains (TQ/HP) with a turbo setup but with a blower
you see the power sooner because it is belt driven and you dont have to wait
for the exhaust gases turn the turbine wheel.

Superchargers are driven by belt with takes hp to turn. Turbos still take away hp but it is far less than a supercharger. Turbos can reach full boost by 2k rpm and will make far more use able tq under the power curve. Everyone thinks turbos cause so much heat under the hood, but it you get the parts jet hot coated or wrap the parts there will be no problems.
