hey thanks for coming. yeah the drive up there was pretty fun considering we had our beaters. it sucks not having our cars. but we will see you next time or at this event.

 

naw that was our christmas event last year. we will be doing that one again. we appreciate any and all donations man. thanks.

 

we will be posting this in and around kroger for the general public. also at car parts stores and aftermarket car places. the kids idea is cool but we TTE have our hands full with what we have planned. we will be doing a raffel. if you know someone who wants to do the face painting that would be a nice touch.

so what i've gathered from the thread so far is passing around flyers in the neighborhood about canned goods and then collecting them on a certain day, then bringing them to kroger on the set date? is this correct?
i sorta feel guilty if i ask people aroudn me for canned goods just because i live in poquoson and we got hit pretty hard from the hurricane and lots of people around here lost alot of stuff.EDIT: *i just need a way to write the flyers so that it will not offend anyone and they don't react like "why should i help anyone when i'm in a bad situation already." so people that are in need of things like food/support do not feel obligated to give food away* so if you(TTE) would make a flyer or give me ideas for what the flyer should say. i'd appreciate it. thanks

 

this event is directly for the families of poquoson, york and seaford, grafton. a local church of poquoson distributes the items we collect at no cost. that is why i chose them. in your situation you could go to business' in and around poquoson that deals with cars. Such as Advanced Auto Parts, NAPA Auto Parts, AutoZone, ETC. or you could go to places like Midas, Mienkeke(sp), ETC. put a flyer on there front door. if you need a flyer simply post your email address and i will email you two different flyer for you to choose from. if you would like you could still visit some of the neighbors that you have and tell them what you are doing and why. tell them that this will aid the families who need it most. thanks for the question and the support. peace

yeah...it was nice meeting some of TTE goin up there...i got the best gas mileage i have ever gotten goin to dinwiddle...lol...but the charity events are loads of fun with yall too...who woulda thought volunteer work could be fun?

 

Went to the harley shop in grafton, tread quarters, cruz thru carwash, autozone, and advanced auto and put up flyers.
