I've just recently become interested in one lap racing or Time attack/trials. I know they are huge in Japan and are starting to grow over here in the states. I was wondering if anyone here actually competed insuch events or have more information. I know there are some sponsered time attack events like one lap across amercia anyone know of any else?

 

http://www.redlinetimeattack.com/ coming to Summit Point in August or Sept. I don't know the Shenendoah course for shit though so it wouldn't be any fun to compete. It should be interesting since a few of the top competitors have never even seen this track including Tarzan and Robert Fuller. Will pure talent be able to beat the locals at their home track?

Ive seen drivers (drifting of course) link courses they have never seen, and made it look like there was no effort...

There is a lot to be said about what a car can do with a well rounded yet impulsive ass in the seat.....
