Default Thinking about getting a different vehicle need advice!

I am currently looking to purchase a vehicle i was looking at getting a 2005-2006 pontiac gto or either a 2002-2004 e46 m3. I am torn between the two i have driven nor rode in either. I just need a little input in what to look for problems with either and whatnot.
i can get a 05 gto with 20k on it for less than a 02 m3 with 70-80k so that has me leaning towards the gto but damn the m3 is sexy.

For the M3 with that many miles, ask about valve adjustments and waterpumps. Other than that, they're pretty hard to kill.

Well what do you want? Escalated vagina rates, peppy speed, and all around luxury for a good chunk of $$$? Or do you want glorified grand prix with peppy speed for cheap? GTO just looks like shit IMO. M3 all the way if you can afford it.

The GTO is not a good comparison to a M3. Your better off going with the M3.

Less problems, higher re-sale value in the end, better gas mileage.

I agree with the higher re-sale, but where do you get off on the other two? LSXs get great gas mileage and last I heard GM didn't have to give owners a free extended warranty becuase they fucked up block machining and the motors could have an oil related failure at any time.

With the BMW, you have a 100,000 mile warranty on the engine, FYI.

dont count the gto out as a luxury car either

my buddy had an 04 gto with 390whp, was one bad car and was soo comfortable. this is a pretty tough decision though cause both are great cars imo.

definitely go test drive both, i think you might be underestimating the gto a tad

It depends on which one you are talking about, the 5.7 goat was in the 17/20 range while the 6.0 was in the 18/22 range. The M3 probably gets around the same mileage as the 6.0 goat so I retract that statement.

As for the less problems, I'm not saying problems with the motor itself but for the car in general. My buddy has one and he said he regrets buying it for small stupid shit going wrong with the interior and stuff.
