Default TEIN coilover, which way do I turn?

I installed TEIN coilovers on my Spyder about a year ago. The ride is rough but it should be bein that they are dropped as far asthey can be and the helper spring has been removed on all 4. I did not do this to go extra low, but just to make my car look stock after putting the JGTC kit on their, it looked like a lifted truck before the 5" drop. Anyway, my question is with the 16 ways of adjustment. I am only going from memory that it is 16 but I know it's close. They give a tool to adjust the ride quality form stiff to soft but all the directions wer ein Japanese. Do I turn counterclockwise or clockwise for a softer or firmer ride? Also, since they are as low as they can be and the helper spring has been removed will it even do anything in the first place. Just a question I hope someone could answer. I tried "feeling" the road myself by setting them all the way at opposite ands of the adjustment but to no avail, there was no signifigant difference.

counterclockwise goes to SOFT and clockwise goes to HARD.
