you sure you should even be swapping a motor? There is alot of shit to know before you go
swapping motors.

He has a ls, he would be wasting his time and money to get a b20 and keeping it n/a.

 

i was not the first one to say something about him getting one just added on

 

b20's don't make for good turbo motor because there Cylinder walls are thinner than all of the other b series motors

I read the write up Lester posted up and im pretty sure that im mechanically inclined enough to do an ls/vtec or B20/vtec build. Ive noticed that b20 blocks go for abot 300-600 dollars which is pretty cheap and i already have an ls so thats had for nothing. But which one would make more power how much do each of these builds make on a pretty much stock build??

 

it depends what you talking about. if you take a b20 and dont go turbo they have had around 300 hp all motor.......our not going to have the money to build that.

anything you do i say stay with the motor you got....your going to spend 500+ on a b20 then your going to have to get it put in also.....go find you a B16a1 head and find a good shop to get it put on....that will give you around 40hp to the flywheel....

read and read some more its the only way your going to learn....i like Skunk2 parts....for the price there hard to beat...

honda tuning did a mag about 2 years ago with the fastest civics....out of like 20 cars or so 90% were either GSR's or LS Vtec......remember this was 2 years ago.... a few K's might be in there now...

I know, but his came with a b18. Why would you go from a 1.8L to a 1.6L?
