stick a fork in it, she's done
Shouldnt have been trying to run "white lighting" and it would never happened. White lighting does two things, breaks other people's cars and somehow gets random chics pregnant, its that potent my friend.
We called Sean and asked for helped but he said he was busy brushing his beard. And then immediatley hung up on me.

I would stay aluminum if I were you. If that's all you want, just get an aluminator. Block like yours with Termy rotating assembly. You can probably get them for a good price through the dealership.
Ya, they are pricey, and have had a sketchy product lately. I would probably go with Livernois as they work very closely with Ford on engine developments.

Eddie, have you talked to steve at tousley ford about getting an aluminator?? He gives any member of that forum 10% over cost, which will help out a LOT on pricing a new short/longblock. Ive ordered a few things from him,and saved a lot of coin in the process. He gets whipples, aluminators, and many other performance items at 10% over cost for forum members, definitely something worth checking out.
They are listed at $300 here, http://www.buyfordracing.com/shop/pr...655cPath=11_27 And I thought you could get them cheaper through the dealership. But if not, than you're right, I would just spend the few hundred dollars more and get the Livernois stroker.
Low compression can be fixed with boost! haha
*EDIT*
Just get the 3rd one down and use a thicker gasket to drop the compression a bit!

i think thats the 4v shortblock. When i called to price one out, i only got like 100 off the price for the aluminator. I was quoted a litlle over 4600, i think sutton performance sells them for 4600 shipped. If i do the hellion kit the 8.5.1 would be good, but with the paxton i need a little more compression.

The aluminator is a good motor, but lately ive been hearing about buyers swapping the motor, and upon 5-10 minutes of the engine running, catastrophic failure. Due to the fact that when the aluminators were hand assembled, the guys doing the dampener/crank pulley part of the assembly arent taking their time with the torque specs and clearances. You can read more on SVTP.com,but im pretty sure you already know what im talking about.
