had to keep the curb weight down somehow. ask rexer.
I just read the EVO vs. STi shootout in C&D. both were very impressive.
On the STi's hood scoop..."most mornings of testing we had to evacuate the small animals from the hood scoop who'd crawled up in it for a dry sheter for the night"
I still want one. 300hp and AWD. mmm 4wheel burnout....

We should be getting one in by mid month. I will have my digi cam as always, and will post pics when we do get it.
It will be a run test drive, but I dont think anything is going to top that GT2 from 2 weeks ago.

hmmmm
"While the regular WRX has a responsive if somewhat rattly and at times seemingly disconnected suspension, the STi has a tighter, firmer setup that handles well but is so safe and forgiving that you feel far more daring flinging it through whatever corners you feel inclined to fling it."
that passage scares me... i hope no Novice drivers get these things and feel daring enough to try that shit around me or familys in their cars...

hmmm...
"The thing that impressed us most is that one driver noted that from the get go, he felt secure and comfortable pushing the envelope to the edge in this car, and did so with little thought. Never before had he felt so comfortable going so fast. The amazing thing was that all three test drivers said the exact same thing..." C&D on the 2004 Mitsubishi Lancer EVO

no
the evo8 is NOT faster. it IS faster then teh wrx. BUT not the STI version. Its not even a REAL evo if you ask me. its over sized and has a 5 spd tranny. plus no electronic diff. yup its watered down. the sti for america is top gun. we finally got the BETTER car. 2.5lt
FORGED internals (i've "heard" this) new 6 speed. its just better. admit it. its about time mitsu built a freakin new motor. yeah the 4g63 is great and all. infact we are building one. but i mean it seems to me its just swaping body styles everyfew years. NOW if your not into drag. yes its diff. cuz you get the sus. with it. but its still not better then the sti's. execpt defeat.
