tough to beat <300 bucks vs. 800 for the competition
they are who i plan on getting mine from, some of the more technical pieces i'll go thru a well known vendor in case i run into problems

they are all hit or miss. The manufacture has poor quality control. Some of them work like they are supposed to, some are just junk.
I wouldn't think about cheaping on the turbo just because you might end up having to buy a real product at the end. Something like an exhaust, blow off valve, or an intercooler and piping... def a money saver.
They have rather poor customer support as well if you buy through Ebay. What really suprises me is the only crowd that has success with them is NA-T Supra owners. XS Power (sub division of SSAC) has good customer support with the Supra guys and there are quite a few ppl running a full XS Power kit. If you look on the NA-T Supra forum, they have their own section with a company representative that helps customers out frequently.
Overall, I wouldn't rely on SSAC tooo much.

okay my .02 cents i have been in to turbos for a while after purchasing several turbos for my single cam i originaaly bought the hatch with a brand new LOVEFAB manifold geuss what....it cracked after only a few weeks of spirited driving....bought a ssac mani cracked after a few weeks of spirited driving bought an obx mani is still on the car bought several turbos..first one installed not at a true 90 degee angle for oil return...turbo burned up. second turbo did not break it in as instructed....burnt that turbo up too...third turbo did not let cool down properly burned that one up. fourth turbo engine blew under higher than reccomended boost levels....fifth turbo and an engine later i had the right combination it IS an ssac super 60 with garrett internals the first turbo i had on the lovefab mani was a true garrett it burned up its seals as fast as the ssac*it was designed for the ford turbocoupe* i reckon i was turbo stupid but the bigger names and more pricey turbos have customer support and i am really geussing that is what you pay for as well as their return policy ssac sells as is and i think their kits come on ebay as liquidation or online flea market items.....visit their website their stuff gets right pricey...i personally would not buy their stuff from ebay but i would and have purchased their stuff from their website and to teel you the truth the last (5th)turbo i did purchase from their website and it is still on the car....over a year later and running strong.
I am currently running the ssac turbo on a 94 GSR and have been for a good 6k with no tubo issues, the mani was crap, replaced it with a meutek, made 263 @10LBS stock internals, DSM injectors, chrome, and doing the math a very efficient setup that it has proved to be
I've been running an "XT-auto" manifold for 2 months. Its identical to the ssac mani except for 2 braces I added before installation. not to mention I bought this mani used. It has held up great. I tend to drive spirited once to twice a day. great deal for $20
