I don't think the "only a neon" comments are directed towards the neon's lack of straight line performance but rather everything else about the car. Shit handling, shit interior, shit build quality, shit, shit, shit. My family's owned 2 Neons so I think I'm qualified to say that. Now slap a (stock) turbo on it to get some good numbers on paper and high peak horsepower and you want people to respect a Neon? Time to raise your standards.

The problem with the SRT-4 is that it's living with the Neon's bad name. But when you look at why they made the SRT-4 it boils down to Dodge found a way to sell more Neons. And if you drive a SRT-4 and are insulted by the "only a Neon" comments, guess what- you just got owned by yourself. You are driving a Neon.

That has to be one of the most idiotic questions dealing with boosted cars I have ever heard. You question the time, like every turbo is the same. There are different turbos and they do have different performances.

 

I love the shit handling comment. I believe "neons" are quite competitive in handling based races.

As if thats all PVO did was throw a turbo on a neon engine. Where'd that extra displacement come from? Must be from the stickers yo. The car uses 50 or so common parts with a regular neon, most are cosmetic. Only one MAJOR mechanical component is the same, the fuel injectors. And that was only for the 03's. The 04's and up are different.

As far as Supras being old perhaps they are however they are STILL one of the most respected sports cars in the world, you will never be able to say that about your Sentra nor a Neon.
