When you did your test drive there may have been two reasons why you felt it drop of boost. One is the power band peeks around 5,500 RPM’s the other is that the waist gate spring is only rated at 4lb so it peaks at 14-15 PSI then leaks down to around 12. The Stage one helps, but does not solve the problem, most people are still getting the leaking boost, there is no way around it with out replacing the WG actuator.

Also it is not just a turbocharged neon, you will be hard pressed to find a 2.4L neon. They also handle surprisingly well. There aren’t to many cars that come with Tokico struts and stiff springs from the factory. Beyond that I got over the “just a neon” thing I could car less what you call it so long as you are saying it to the back bumper.

As for reliability, I don’t see to many problems arising. The engine is ridiculously strong. Due to time restraints PVO just through strong stuff at the engine, rather then trying to cut material costs. More on that can be round here http://www.sportcompactcarweb.com/pr...0scc_projneon/

Also one of my friends has a SRT-4, he has upgraded to a T3/T4 turbo and direct port NO2 75 shot for a majority of the time. He has driven back and forth across the country several times and has been to the track and dyno quite a bit and he has racked up a lot of miles on a stock bottom end with no problems.
More of what he has and his times. This is at the 15 PSI the stage one runs at.

Too bad Blackdog wont build that CAI. It looks like a winner.
