4 doors are heavier, Phade has no idea what hes talking about. There's a federal regulatory guideline that all cars must adhere to when it comes to safety. A coupe needs the same amount of safety features a 4 door has, but a 4door needs 2x as much, in regards to door beams, etc.
Show me a COUPE model, that is NOT a convertible, that weighs more than its sedan counterpart.

a friend of mine recently bought a black srt-4. he let me drive it and i was very impressed. i knew the numbers for the car, but still had the "it's a neon" mentality. after i drove it though, no... as soon as i floored the car, my jaw dropped. lesson learned: don't go by what other people say or things you read. get a ride in one or test drive one and make your own opinion.

i like them. but you can't realy over come the its still a neon thing. I never think of it like that but almost everyone else does, including hoes. Oh and the STI still and imprezza, thats a bad one. imprezzas own. now the evo is still a lancer hehe thats very fitting lancers suck

Do you need me to do it again? You have been shown, just like you asked. Get back on the short bus. The reason is the 2dr has two longer doors, thus requiring heavier structural protection in them.
