according to the old manual, its illegal. according to the new manual, its legal.
the new manual isnt released yet. so, therefore, its illegal till next month.
you can shave all but the drivers side front handle and be legal according to the old manual.

That's good to hear. I don't need to get inspected until August anyways. Plus, I'll be carrying the statute with me.
I'm stoked now...

I'm gonna shave the handles, tailgate handle, hood squirters, antenna, and 3rd brake light (relocating with LEDs)

how you going to drop it? front drop springs=teh fail, spindles=pass. blocks in the rear are fine. bags are illegal, unless you do it right (meaning use shocks..which alot of trucks dont do)
better make sure the LED's are DOT approved too.
and be prepped to get some technicalities thrown out....especially with the new book. there are quite a few laws that are changed now, and alot of inspectors wont know and/or care for a while.
and also, just cause something passes inspection, doesnt mean its legal on the road. see exhaust shits for that.

Sucks for you guys for not knowing any crooked backyard shops. I have my car dropped, and single chamber exhaust and as long as my lights work and tires have tread I pass(takes about 30 sec to do an inspection) and its not like there is only one place, there’s a couple.
