Scion tC: I Think I'm in Love
Read this!
Anyways, I basically want to put myself in one of these. The only thing is that I've heard if you're over 6' it may not be too comfortable. Anyways, I think I may drop my AT Mazda6i for this in March (I should be at the break-even, take over payments point by then.) Then get a tC in a Manual...and start putting money away for the TRD supercharger.
So, anyone else looking at the tC?
And as a side note I actually wouldn't mind the box (xB) but can't get over that stock 108 horsepower...

Re: Scion tC: I Think I'm in Love
I dont understand the obsession with these cars. Maybe I've got it wrong.
The BASE model is 16k and 160hp.. ok.
It’s expected that the Vortech scroll-type compressor will bring the power output to about 200 hp and still have you dropping only around $20,000.
$20k for 200hp... ok.
An SRT is only, what, 21k new? That'd be quite a race.. Not.
I seriously doubt this car compares in any way, shape, or form to a GTI. Which is also about 21k.
And what features does it have that a $25k car has? It appears to have a radio, AC, a motor, and 4 wheels. Cool. My friends 03 Accord was about 25k and has Navigation, I believe heated seats, and everything else.
GTI's have just about every option imaginable.
I suppose the $16k version is a good deal. 2.4L is definately a sweet platform if the motors any good.
Maybe its the looks you guys are sold on. I think its pretty ugly, it looks RIDICULOUSLY high (floor to roof, not suspension), and is super short. Like a choad.
And the wheel wells are tiny. If it was longer, shorter, and had larger wheel wells with some bigass wheels in it, it'd probably look sweet.

Good points...I wanna go Manual...and not sure I wanna get another 6 (even though I love it...heck I'm pushing 160hp in this midsize right now...and paid 22K for it loaded).

Not quite sure why we need another Scion tC thread, but you can continue conversation about it in the old one: http://www.dragva.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56678
