The sky is technically faster from GM's reports. Not by much, but still.

The solstice is going to see an F/I version, turbocharged, not S/c. One of the major magazines got spy shots of one with the hood left open. I don't remember where I saw them, but the car is definitly turbo'd.

Whats strange is that the engine in the Redline Ion is the same engine that they run in the Saab turbo.. It even has the spot for the oil return line on the front of the block. I don't get why they supercharged it instead

i thought the redline ion had the same motor as the cobaltss

according to an article i read, aside from the mx-5, most convertibles have a HUGE hit once they're released. they make a ton of money off them but every year after just dies down. and w/ the money made from the initiatl year or two, they ride out the production year.

looks good though

It's an Ecotec. You can throw lots of boost at them with some cheap upgrades. Remember the Redline Bonneville racer? Shitloads of power, very little work. Strong bottom end, just needs more fuel and stronger rods.

It's rear wheel drive.

It's bigger than a Miata. As a side note: The Miata is the highest selling RWD 2 seater EVER...

It looks hot.

IT'S CHEAP!

If this thing is dynamically worth a shit, this could be the start of something big. Give it a few years, if it catches on we'll probably start seeing spec classes like the RX7s and Miatas. I'd prefer a coupe to a roadster, but whatever.

The new MX5 is going to kick its ass. Still going to be a great car though.
