Yes I've owned both and the ITR's limits are FAR lower than the S2k's. So if you like understeer, and not have to worry about any sideways action, go for the ITR!
At the end of the day, RWD>FWD but I <3 both cars

S2000s have higher limits than ITRs, but the AP1s were cursed with the snap oversteer issue. AP2s have similar limits, but are much more forgiving to drive at the limit. Controlled 4 wheel drift is doable in an AP2, it wasn't in an AP1. That's on stock suspension as well. Geometry hasn't changed, so AP1s can handle just as well as an AP2. The thing you can't fix is steering feel. S2000s have horrid steering feel. That's why they feel heavier than they are. They're not really heavy cars, especially by todays standards. Numb steering makes any car feel heavier than it is though. Some of the steering feel can be fixed with an aggressive alignment, but it will never feel like it should.
I do agree with Terry though. S2000s suck ass zits.

Getting a little off topic.
Basically I'm deciding between an 06 s2000 and an 09 Civic Si sedan.
Both will stay stock, so the cost/ability to modify does not bother me.
