RX8 has arrived
Me:
-it's still overpriced considering my comparison car: the 350Z
-3) and oh yeah, the Z out performs it...forgot about that one
-you can easily get an enthusiast model (HIDs etc) for UNDER the base price of 26,370.
-----
You:
-I can get a 247hp, 6-speed manual Sport Package for 28,300 delivered
are you blind or do you not understand english?
better performance + lower price = WORSE?
i don't care what it was designed for. i don't think anyone is making the "practicality" argument except for you...
check out the Best Motoring video. numbers on paper mean nothing in the real world. my guess is the rx-8 would come in somewhere around the s2k, if not even behind that, much farther behind the first place Z.
...i'm getting tired of this argument. i never said the rx-8 sucked. you guys are just arguing for the sake of it. reaffirm your love for the car somewhere else.

AND
Stock for stock, the 350Z handles better, but modded in equal parts, the RX8 should overcome the Z.

Who the fuck said anything about potential?? I know I sure didn't...
Good job winning an argument with no one

edit: yes i know rotaries have potential. everyone and their fucking mothers know that. last time i checked we were talking about the cars stock vs stock...

Not really sure what you mean by this. Yes, the RX-8 handles very well. I never claimed it didn't. I said the Z handles BETTER, which you seem to agree with.

1) i compared it to a year old car (which i acknowledged)
2) it is more expensive even WITHOUT the dealer markup
3) and oh yeah, the Z out performs it...forgot about that one
you can easily get an enthusiast model (HIDs etc) for UNDER the base price of 26,370. and it's quite possible to get a performance model for around 28k, which really blows the rx-8 out of the water.

i don't think it's fair to compare a brand-new car to a 1 year old used car, pricing wise at least.
and for your information...there's a reason why i haven't visted any mazda dealerships at all. oh i dunno, maybe it's because i feel it's a waste of my time.

so die

does your company loyalty require you to be a jackass?

Wow, I've been put in my place. I am so humbled. Your attitude in your first and second posts would seem to show that you are indeed an asshole, provoked or not.
All I did is give my opinion, backed up by facts. Gonna address this one last time, then I will not be replying the this thread again. Like I said before, you seem to enjoy arguing for the sake of it. I, however, do not. So feel free to knock yourself out and consider this a win, if you so wish.
1) No, the price is for a 2003 model, not the 2004. A NEW (NOT USED) 2003 model. You seem to spend a lot of time at dealerships, so I will assume you know what I am referring to.
2) Just because I do not go to Mazda dealerships does that mean I will never own a used RX-7? I think not. My tastes just do not include new Miatas and RX-8s. When the future RX-7 is here, then I may pay one a visit.
3) "so die" I guess the sarcasm did not make it through your computer screen. Stick your tounge out and try to say it. That's how I read your original use of that statement.
4) Yaw inertia is irrelevent. The Z handles better. If you do not believe that, fine. Just do yourself a favor and watch the video before you continue to make yourself look stupid.
That said, the RX-8 is a fine car. I would take one over my VR6 any day. I feel the 350Z is a better deal in performance, if not the practicality, area.
To the ass ZoomZoom and more civil Blasphemous, enjoy your 7s and future 8s.
