RX8 has arrived
ok, looking back on my stats i realized the rx-8 is putting down 247hp in the manual, i was looking at the auto which puts down a shitty 207. I guess it's a little better than the tibby gt after all
...but still not for me

That Tibby must be puttin out some higher than posted numbers. The Tibby's are DOGS, my stock 91 RX7 Turbo2 felt twice as ballsy (sp?) and it's 12 years old and had 160k miles.

and no you are not going to get that car for 28k...good fucking luck. dealer mark up will take car of that (which is why i compared it to the 350z...in case you didn't notice)

I've already searched the inventory on Mazda's website, plenty of sports package-only RX-8s are available in the area.
a base 6 speed RX-8 w/ sports package (adds HID, DSC, fog lights) stickers at $28,300.
this car is a pricing bargain even at sticker.
obviously you haven't visited your local Mazda dealers at all
and yes i'm seriously biased, so die

ooo looks i'm p\/\/n3D~!
or not...
it's still overpriced considering my comparison car: the 350Z
1) i compared it to a year old car (which i acknowledged)
2) it is more expensive even WITHOUT the dealer markup
3) and oh yeah, the Z out performs it...forgot about that one
you can easily get an enthusiast model (HIDs etc) for UNDER the base price of 26,370. and it's quite possible to get a performance model for around 28k, which really blows the rx-8 out of the water.
and for your information...there's a reason why i haven't visted any mazda dealerships at all. oh i dunno, maybe it's because i feel it's a waste of my time.
so die
does your company loyalty require you to be a jackass?

2003-2004 Mazda RX8
0-60: 5.9 seconds, 1/4 mile: 14.5 @ 95.6mph
60-0 braking: 144ft, skidpad: 0.88g
2003-2004 Nissan 350Z
0-60: 5.4 seconds, 1/4 mile: 14.1 @ 101.0mph
60-0 braking: 119ft, skidpad: 0.89g
On paper, the Z handles all around better. The RX8 wasn't designed to be a purely performance car though. It seats 4 adults, I know, I could sit in the rear comfotably after adjusting the front to my liking. Does the 350Z even have back seats? The RX8 is to be the precursor for the the next truly performance based rotary. Their aim is to have a similar price for the car as the RX8.
