It is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard.

Only a retard would pay that much for a stock exhaust. I don't think you have to tell a car forum community about this shop.

1st of all im not Whining about anything. Second of all I was not posting it to get +rep either, so you can throw those 2 out of the window..and consequences?? what consequences?? you have nothing to threaten me with. I realized I shouldn't have posted the same subject in 2 diff. forums, much less the incorrect forum, but ya'll waste just as much time trying to be so sarcastic and come up with stupid stuff, as people do when they post multiple threads of the same subject. yeah the car community as a whole of course not. But you never know when someone who doesn't have a lot of knowledge about car's and pricing would find their way on here and see the thread somehow and it may save them from getting ripped off no matter where the case happens. That was my intention.

I don't want that junk. The only aftermarket exhaust I will ever put on that car would be an Apexi WS2. I would go with a regular WS is need be, but $500 is a waste of money on an exhaust, at least for a DD. I might put one up one day, I already have a DC sport header and short ram intake, but there is no need to put that kind of money into my car right now. There are a lot more "needs" on my car that I can invest $500 into than on an exhaust.

I know big al's has always been kind of shady in general, but before I knew the asst. manager there (doesn't work there anymore) and he was going to put a 2.5 in. pipe going back to a new muffler for like $100. So I figured i'd take a shot and see if they would still do it for around that. I try to support the local businesses, but I was so astounded when he gave me an estimate like that I didn't know what to do!

That means he was stealing from the company... The piping and muffler alone will come close to $100 and does not include any labor.

If you want your exhaust done at a decent price (not $100) you can go to Mitchs Brake & Muffler in Norfolk. Good rates and quality craftsmanship.
