Yeah since cops get paid off of the new laws.

To the OP, if your story is legit, your attorney should be able to help you. If you're lying on here to make the situation seem different, fuck you. The State Trooper most likely saw that you were together and from that, figured she could get both of you for the same fine. Your friend, I feel no pity for, but if you are telling the truth (from what I understood of your post) I wish you the best.

I would consider getting a different attorney. Sounds like your attorney is a piece of shit. Don't be afraid to spend some money on a good attorney...if you think you can't afford a good attorney now, just wait until you find out what this will cost you in the long run.

That sucks, but why the fuck did you sign the ticket? If you were innocent, you should've told the cop you aren't signing until you talked to an attorney. Yeah they would've taken you in right then, but you would've gotten out of it. When I was younger, I was randomly pulled by a cop because I was in a loud mustang riding next to a loud z28 and the cop said I was racing. Luckily I had a friend in the car with me that was my witness saying that we were not racing. The cop got pissed, walked to his car and came back saying "your license is suspended, sign this paper stating that you know this." I was like "wth, I didn't know it was suspended?" And he pressured me into hurrying up and signing it and I could go home, otherwise I'd be going to jail. So I signed it and come to find out, what I had signed was a paper that surrendered my license. He got my ass! Got to be careful!

So your dumbass friend was going 102, and you were going almost 102. Does it really matter if you weren't going exactly 102? You were still guilty of going way over the speed limit. We've all done it, and we all have to be prepared to live with the consequences of our (totally voluntary) actions. So live with it. You didn't get a ticket for racing, so count yourself lucky and be happy that your stupidity didn't get you in any more trouble. To top it off, you have a job as a driver, which means you should have the common sense to not do something that would make you lose your job. I don't have any sympathy for your pussy ass whining. You've fucked up, now deal with it. If your retard friend got 10 days and 600 dollars, and he doesn't even have a license, you'll probably do better than that.

You should take some "English as a second language" courses while you are in jail.
