Default REVIEW: Megan Stainless Steel Header :PICS:

Alright guys I was the test pig on this one.. For H23 Preludes there's pretty much one choice as far as a header goes.. and thats usually DC, because there aren't really many out there for this particular engine.. So I figured instead of paying $300 for a shitty header, I would pay $125 and get one that was a straight copy and stainless steel at that! What do we have? thats right.. Megan Racing header off of ebay.. I was actually kind of suprised at the quality! It has the same shitty 2" collector as the DC but then again I still paid way less and its all ss and TIG welded with 3/8" flanges etc..

here are some pics..

What do you think? I was delightfully suprised to say the least! The inside doesn't even really need much cleaning up, if any at all.. Can't wait to install it tommorow!

I first thought you made a typo in the title but then when I read the post with the price and the fact it was from eBay all was righted.

Well Megan Racing isn't an ebay only "no name brand" they are actually a real company with some legit stuff.. just priced REALLY well.. and on ebay their stuff is even cheaper.. they make alot of suspension stuff to.. yea when they first come out everyone thought they were a mugen knockoff.. like spugen(spoon mugen ?)...

get it coated before you put it on. you will be happy you did.

when i stuck my dc sports CC header on my h23 lude, i wasnt very impressed with the quality. the quality of the coating was nothing like my jet hot coated long tubes on my Z, the welds werent that great. the o2 bung was out of reach. that header looks pretty nice. but getting it coated will increase your gains and keep underhood temps down, also it will look a lot better. just something to consider

jethot coat $125 headers? isnt JHC'ing 200-300?

goodluck with them.. i honestly felt almost no difference with my stock h23 manifolds..

DC Ceramics.. and they rusted when I put my VIS vented hood on.. wish i had gotten SS..

I heard the SS's use some type of coating the flakes off.. let us know how it goes after a few months..$125 for "tig and SS" header is...way cheap..
