I know this thread has been dead for a while, but I thought I'd point out that the loophole for reckless driving in 35mph zones being 25mph over the speed limit in VA was closed earlier this year.

 

I Like how everyone who gets racing tickets "wasn't even racing"

But anyway, I just got slapped on the wrist and hit with a big fine, no lawyer, but i think it helped that the guy I was racing also got caught with me and he had a suspended, so in a wierd way it made me look like the good one of us two.

 

Got a "reckless driving (racing)" ticket, clocked at 100mph. $300 dollar fine, fairfax court too lol. Minor at the time though.

 

$200 dollar fine plus $65 court fee, 6 months suspend(they said that is the minimum now) and 30 days jails suspended
