Default Question on intake

Okay so I'm looking to get some intake on my car.
I'm a newb to the whole car scene, and I saw
AEM COLD AIR INTAKE for about 200
AEM SHORT RAM INTAKE for about 100
Whats the difference in them?

I was also interested in weapon-r intake? Anyone know anything about this? Is it any good?

Thanks.

Short ram will just be an open air filter under your hood. These usually suck in your hot engine air.

Cold air intake will go into your fenderwell and suck in, cold air. You need to be careful with some of these because they can suck in water.

True. The cold air will suck in water if nothing protects it from getting water in it. There are sheild that can be bought for these. I don't know much about Weapon R. AEM is a good brand along with Ingen, or however you spell it. You will notice a slight change in you accel, depending on what kind you use depends on how much of a difference. The best way to open up and free a car is air flow and exhaust flow. Most times you get better gas mileage too.
