Default powder coating

ok so i was looking into getting my hammers powder coated and a girl i work with her boyfriend does it. he wants to charge me $100 per rim to be acid cleaned(or w/e it is) and then they'll be sandblasted and powder coated for me. now he has almost every color imaginable(im looking at getting more of the metal colors......gold, bronze, silver, gun metal, puter...etc) but i was wondering if i take him just my rims like i remove the tires and take him the bare rims if $100 a pop is too much???? or if anyone up here knows of a place that i can get it done cheaper?? however i dont want to sacrifice cleaness and quality for cost.

Thanks guys & gals i appreciate the feedback
