I got busted for accessory to posession of pot years ago. I got a lawyer and the guy who's car it was in didn't. My lawyer plead ACOD and got me off. The other guy did the same w/o a lawyer and got off. ACOD is (sp?) ajerned in contemplation of dismissal. If in 6 months you stay out of trouble they throw it out.

It does not matter if it is open or not, you are not supposed to have it on you. Applies for the car as well, if you are driving a car, and alcohol is in plain site by an officer when/if pulled, you will get the same thing.

You can't have it on you. If it's open, welcome to the open container + underage = big fines, probation, and going to an alcohol abuse class. Talk to 90% of the dumbass freshmen at JMU, they will tell you.

X2, I agree. I was charged with underage & posession when I was 17 @ a house party, I blew somthing over the legal limit, but I didnt go to court, I just had to see the Intake officer @ Hanover Co. court and had to bring my report card (which saved my ass, 3.4gpa), and I only got 1 yr of good behavior and had to go to the New beginings class. But laws have changed slighty since that happend, and I got pretty lucky......
