my dad it is a trooper the only thing that makes a cop car a cop car besides the obvious is it has heavy duty accessories. the alternator is beefed up and things of that nature other than that the motors are stock for the car they are driving. the camaro around here is a stock ls1. the ecu is tuned different to support the shift points and the tranny is beefed up a lil more to handle the beating of a stop to full acceleration. as far as back in the day they had lt'1s in the impalas and caprices.

most cops have limited "performance driver training" if any... if a cop has a z06 and cant drive it... it doesn't matter how fast it is or what the numbers are
