eh...its not to bad...you can spend 2-5,000 on a recomended street gear set. Of course you could also go with a dogbox for 5-10,000, lol.

theres a few options when it comes to upgrading. For all price ranges.

You'll need the M3 if you're looking for that kind of chick. Of course when they realize you're driving a 10 year old car with cracked leather you may lose them.

Either way, good luck with that.

if you have no plans to do anything with the car I would go with the m3. it looks better and performs pretty good without mods.

This is SO easy... Why do you even need help..

First, forget the SI. Then compare the E36 M3 to a WRX.

hmmmmmmm...
M3,
is reliable, fastER, looks better, handles better, I'm not sure, but prob lighter. A lot easier to drive since and its better balanced. Parts are EXPENSIVO, so is maintenance + Insurance.

WRX,
every ricer and their mom drive one, ug... not as good looking, VERY practical, AWD (could be driven in Snow ect.) ins will prob be a lot cheaper than a M3; Parts too. Big heavy boat, will DEF not be as flickable around corners as an M3 (but that doesnt matter, since a lot of you guys just drive straight) ohh SNAP!! i forgot its "JDM". LOL J/K i drive Japanese vehicle, i'm just not "JDM". Sorry, had to make fun.

Both cars, if you're looking into building, have A LOT of potential.

EDIT:
If you couldnt tell, I'll take the M3 with my eyes closed.

Since I am a Subaru girl I am going to say WRX. M3s are nice....very nice.....but you would be paying $2000 less for a vehicle that is 5 years older. If you are planning on modding look at aftermarket part prices and compare. Does the WRX transmission suck?? Yes. But you also don't see every person that owns one blowing their transmission. My husband has an '04 WRX and he loves it....no complaints. My friend has a '98 M3 and loves that....no complaints. It all comes down to personal preference.

The M3 is such a better car than a wrx and civic.
