Well most people have some money for swaps when they buy a project car like a 79 corolla and stuff a small block v8 in it. If you're a newb on the scene and want a CAI and a few goodies to make your car a little quicker than stock, you're better off starting with a better platform. He's asking about performance parts for his Tercel which probably doesn't include an engine swap. He probably wants a high flow muffler, maybe a spoiler and a CAI. Maybe with enough mods he can hang with a stock Hyundai Aspire.

Every person with a sport compact that commented negtively on this guy trying to mod a Tercel, needs to take a serious look at what you drive too.

I know, whats the difference between a civic, a focus, impreza, tercel, and a metro, etc. Theyre all economy cars either way you look at it, some may be more popular than others. With certain mods, any car can be fast.

my real point was, don't waste your money. is it really going to be worth it modding a tercel? save up and get a faster car. how old are you? i see too many teens wasting their money on their cars.. then get a little older and realize they're broke, along with their car they spent so much of their money on.

i agree with this last one...

but what are you looking for out of the car? And what overall budget are you looking at? these are two big things you should have answered for us to help

And remember, modding is addicting (any budget for mods that you have will be exceeded, especially if you don't do your own work). But don't rice out.

Thanks for the ideas!!...(those that gave any)

Before I dropped some serious cash on anything I wanted to get the educated opinions from some pepes with alot more expierience than me.

As stated, I'm new to tuning, but I have a decent budget to get started and play around with.

I was seriously thinking about taking the dough and buying another ride, but I thought about the fact that there aren't really alot of modded Tercels on the road right now so I would definatley be unique.....which is the only thing I'm looking for. Wanted to stand out and be different and fast at the same time.

Thanks everybody...I'll decide soon and keep you posted.

PEACE.
