ok well why dont you do this....it will render both situations
find out how much you owe on the car...then start a for sale thread stating the problems that the car has and then ...as crazy as this may seem...
ask what you owe on the car ....that way it is legal,the car has the potential to be back on the road if someone wishes....
and your rid of the car and the lien....problem solved

there is an easy solition to your problem. NAVY FEDERAL will let you transfer your loan into a comsumer load instead on an automotive loan and then give you the title. I have done this a few times. The comsumer load will be around 11.5% though. If you dont owe too much on the car and are just looking to sale it I would go this route. You could have the title in less than 24 hrs.
