Default Paint help... / tips

Well latly I've been looking into the whole "$50 paint job" on Honda-Tech etc... Which I want to 1st test it all out on my new driver's side fender / door. There gray, and the car is black. I pretty much get the idea to wetsand, fix any imperfections... w/e

The car's factory black. Just wondering if anyone has any tips or suggestions... places to buy good paint (I mean I know Home Dep...) , paint brand or w/e
Thanks for the read

I'm thinking just sand it, and flatblack or primer for now.

if ur gonna spend the time sanding it, just go the rest of the way and do it right (body work, etc.).. u will b more happy in the end when its all one color instead of sweet custom rattle can primer..
