Welcome back, Kid! Lookin' in that range, you're definitely she a buck or two! Your best bet might just be to save, save away! Or maybe make some real money with a killer seasonal position, or summer job! Maybe then you can afford your dream ride! Another suggestion is keep the 95 stang, after all, it's not the ride..It's the ridin'!

My '89 Supra turbo has 215K on it and it runs great. As long as you are competent enough to maintain the car and keep it healthy you should not have a problem. Each car has it's own quirks and areas that need addressing more than others. Just prioritize and start with the most important things first when fixing an older car.
