ive read that it was gonna have a $60,000 price tag. the mark up on it when it comes out will be $3,000 if not more. then the extended warranty deals are gonna bang you in the head. that's how i got that figure

i base my OPINION about the VQ35DE on the fact that they have been throwing rods and shooting holes in the aluminum block at 450+hp. (i prefer the VQ30DE) i know Nissan is gonna do a great job with the gt-r 35 VQ v8 but i rather an iron block inline six that can rev to 9500rpm (with upgraded valve train of course). please tell me how an aluminum block will hold together better than an iron block. oh and the reason for the engine change was due to stricter obd complacency issues

About the tranny..... why not! the m5 has a 7 speed also

Yes, this is the best base line gtr. but in a tuner way of thinking its not. Nissan said themselves the new gtr will be the best handling gtr but it wont, have the same power potential as the RB's

The bottom line is if you don't have enough dough for the GT-R 35 and you must have a skyline, it is attainable. Military guys are the lucky ones because we have the opportunity to get them way cheaper than the RI prices

pawnstar ur not gettin em any cheaper, u may think u are but u are not at all,

think about it...

lets say 19k for an r32 to about 35k for an r33

now i will first begin with an r32

BNR32 - 21k Good Condition
Importin from Japan - 10k
Import Tax - 2.5k
Gas Guzzler tax - 2k
Smog regs - 5k
Crash regs - 7k
Labor - 10k
Dealer Markup -2.5k

Grand total - 60k

Now think about this, u pay for all this on One loan = cheaper

Now if u go thru the military, the military WILL NOT Ship ur vehicle for u since it is not on the NHTSA list, so ur gonna have to ship it urself

now that u dont have any shippin relations with any company there not gonna give u a discounted price, and charge u like 15k-17k to ship it (with insurance)

then the RI's are gonna charge u an arm an nickel since u didnt buy the car thru them, so i would rather buy the car thru them since in the end it will be cheaper..

now if u take an r33, add about 10k to the car, another 2k for about every other list item i stated

wheww im drunk and i think i typed pretty good lol

um, iron sleeves... SR20DET has an aluminum block and you don't see people cracking those. It's the pistons, and sometimes the rods, that go.

I'm guessing you're talking about drag racing?

my bad i found out the reason why they are breaking. the 3.5 is a bored out 3.0 and the walls are too thin. well if the v8 is gonna have a similar build as my 3.0 then it should be straight. SO I TAKE BACK THE RB IS BETTER THAN THE VQ

I could talk about auto-x too.

Oh, I guess you need 7 gears when you're going for that land speed record or when you're paddle shifting your F1 car. haha
