first of all stay away from motorex they are in some deep shit. its because of them, no r34's can come in to the states anymore. the reason why is the 96 r33's and all r34's are obd2 cars, and there is no a way to make them EPA legal (at least yet) but motorex was doing some shady shit and swapping the motors to pass and swapping them back. but some guy got caught in Texas and raised a shit storm at motorex.

as for your Canada idea, they are only are able allow cars 10 years or older into the country. so that only leaves you with the r32 option. (which is the best one for racing purposes)

legalization through RBmotoring is the best way to go. its not that much about 14 grand. and the gt-r's that they have are in awesome shape but yes, you will pay mondo bucks (high 30's - high 40's) plus 14 grand. this is the route im going i don't have gt-r cash but i got a 95 r33 gts-t arriving in April then im doing the customs shuffle for 8 months. and Sean at rb motoring is doing all the legal shit.

Dont waste your money on a Skyline over there. THE NEW R-35 GTR is coming to america and should come as nissan they now say insted of infinity. BUT the car will pretty much look like a G35 but with differnt head lights and your typical skyline tails. The car will come with the VQ series motor thats found in the g35 and 350z BUT... will come Twin Turbo with 450hp. The car will be like 50k because of the new technology using a system called "Smart turbo" pretty much what it does it runs a eletric motor on to the turbo its self and elimantes any turbo lag. The electric motor spools the turbo when there is not enough exhaust to spool it. any ways the article is from the sport compact magazine.

its gonna be around $60,000 with out all the other fees. so you can estimate $70,000. then insurance....holy shit thats some cash. the insurance on the imported skylines are not expensive at all. and even though i have a VQ motor the RB is by far way better. but the GTR 35 does have a 7speed tranny!

Where are you getting the $70K figure from? Jason's estimate of $50k is much more realistic. Normal G35 coupes are in the low 30s. The R35 won't cost over twice as much as a base G35.

How is the RB "by far way better" than a VQ? Both need a built bottom end once you're in the 500ish whp area, if you want reliability.

Who needs 7 gears? That's freakin' overkill. So, if 7 is great, what about 8 or 9 gears? Plenty of cars are absurdly fast with a simple 3-speed GM auto tranny (although not great for gas milage on the highway).

ok explain to me why the RB is a better motor? Dont even try to say it can make more power because ill prove you wrong very quickly. A motor is a motor and it only makes power by whats done and being forced into it and how well its put together and tuned. There are 1000whp vq series motors out there that are being used/raced in today's world. Maybe you should read/catch up and understand WHY they choose the VQ insted of the RB in this skyline. Oh and dont forget this is the most powerful skyline to ever come out I wonder why they went with the VQ insted of the RB? 2.6L or 3.5L?

i hope Cosworth holds up to their side in tuning the motor. cuz they've been doing pretty crappy in F1. i dont see why nissan brought in Lotus to design the suspension. im sure they have competent enough engineers to improve the atessa awd system. but then again, for 50k, its a pretty good deal. especially considering the targeted main competition for this r35 is the awd 911, but for thousands and thousands less.
