Well, to the guy that said don't waste time on the 420A......partly correct i'd say. it does take alot to make them quick. i got lucky . the hard work was already done on my car...i just bought and have to make it even better. but i know guys that are running over 18psi with the 16G.....course they know what they are doing to.
and yea.....rated at 140HP factory
But anyway.....yes, STRATUS final drive gears work on the A604 auto tranny. They change the gear ratio like changing the ring and pinion in the rear of a V-8 car. I forget the exact number for it....but it can be bought.
I"ve not done mine to my N/A avenger yet....it's an I4/auto...and yes, slow is not the word...LOL
but he does have some potential with the 420A....but building the block with forged internals is the BIG thing that MUST be done before upping the boost.
not to mention fuel and eveything else that goes with it.
He NEEDS to go to 2gnt.com and read what those guys post about the 420a.
they can be made pretty quick if the effort is taken with them.
Example.....i ran 14.066 @ 102.6.....shitty launch, bad 60'....first time EVER driving a car at the track, much less a boosted FWD.....in a heavy ass Avenger.....semi-tuned
14s are not uber fast....but in a car that's like 17-18s from the factory....you see my point.
