fd. evos are nice but with the money you will spend on a stock evo, interest, and insurance you would be able to buy the fd a decent beater and parts for the fd. you should have the car checked out and have the apex seal springs and seals themsleves changed out as "cheap" insurance, especially if the car will be seeing sustained hard driving, since you dont know how the car was cared for in the past.
