Got the car back... it's rather awesome. It starts and idles, I can put around a parking lot like a normal person and I can go in stop/go traffic.

The RPMs are hanging a little at 2k before dropping back to idle, but I'll swing back by after work to fix that. Ed said he had 12 variations of my tune.

My radio is dead I don't think this has anything to do w/ what Ed did as the battery was never removed, everything else works perfectly. The red light is on, but no display on the screen. I think it's a random coinscidence... time to get one with integrated XM like I've wanted anyway.

As for power... I didn't really get on it... it's muggy as fuck out today.

I don't have the files... Just a pic of my paper print from February and the hosted image file from Ed.

Does it need a security code. I remember a friends vette radio went dead and all it needed was a anti-theft code

Red light on the radio itself? Is there a fuse built into the back of the radio casing?

That's what we thought... but Ed said that even if theft-lock the screen should still display and be asking for the code. He has the gm button sequence for retrieving the code so we'll try that after I get out of work.

I have no clue... in the fuse box in the footwell there's a fulse called radio/cd and we checked that one and it's fine. The red light is a little light next to the volume control... I never knew what it did or was... now I do... it's on!

Gary might have a spare radio out at the shop to test with.

^ Thanks man... I fixed it last night. Took the console apart, pulled the radio, checked the harness for power and all was well. Was about to go out to Gary's shop and get a spare but decided to try plugging mine back in. Well it worked... and works Odd.

Car drives incredibly... I have my pre-cam haracteristics back. The increase in low end is awesome and removed the sluggishness it had before (which was supposed to be "normal" for the cam). Now when I blip the throttle for a downshift the motor responds crisply and instantly like it used to. Before this tune blips were less responsive and required more throttle input. The car is smoother and pulls smoother through the entire RPM range and the car sounds crisper/smoother.

Basically the previous tune made good power high end, but mid-range and lowe end weren't optimal... that's fixed now.

Honestly... the best thing is the fact that it starts hot and cold perfectly and idles on it's own w/o any need to blip the gas to get it to catch idle.
