you have the 05 and 06 people for hurting your posting and buying power. too many people have abused the priviledges. finish your trial period and you'll be good to go.

Yeah I definitely understand reasonings for restricting new members. It's annoying enough on smaller forums...but with a forum this large, you pretty much DO need it. How long is the trial period?

My celi will be lowered by the end of the summer. I go to school at Virginia Tech...in the mining and minerals engineering program. Since the roads in VA are infinitely better than those back home in PA...I can finally get it lowered a little bit.

Or you could pay $5 and waive the patron waiting period.

Well...I didn't plan on "getting rid" of the GSX. I only had it for a couple of months, and didn't get anything done to it besides intake/exhaust/bov. I was really looking forward to enjoying the AWD and crazy power possible out of the 4g63. Unfortunately, the downsides of owning a mitsubishi got to me before the upsides did. You may remember this recall...

1997 MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE Recall ID from NHTSA: 00V421001
Auto Recall Date: 20001218
Vehicle Component: SUSPENSION:FRONT:CONTROL ARM:LOWER BALL JOINT
Estimated Vehicles Affected: 567432

Defect Consequence:
THIS CONDITION COULD CAUSE THE LOWER LATERAL ARM BALL JOINT TO SEPARATE, INCREASING THE RISK OF A VEHICLE CRASH. THIS CAMPAIGN SUPERCEDES MMC'S PREVIOUS SAFETY RECALL CAMPAIGN, SEE 99V-066.

Well...I sort-of bought this car in a hurry because some other dude had agreed to purchase it. But the small dealer I got it from said that money talks, so if I laid down the cash, it was mine. So I did. Then what happens? I learned first-hand what happens when you're going around a sharp turn in the woods and your lower lateral arm ball joint separates.

It just so happened that where I went off the road was the same place where this ginormous storm drain pipe was under the street, so there was about a 7ft. drop-off where I very neatly nose-dived. all I had was a small bruise from the seatbelt, but the gsx was totalled. Worst night of my life. I did however, get back what I paid for the car plus I think $2500. Good enough for being scared shitless for a little bit, and people being afraid to drive with me for a year because I was the first one in my class to total a car...lol.
I almost bought another black '98 gsx but I always had that crash in the back of my head...and apart from that I couldn't deal with everything else being cheap and seeming to break. So I went the toyota route, and have no regrets...I wish I would have went with a GTS from the start.

I do, however, get envious when I see the couple guys at my school with 400+ to the wheels in their eclipse's...

Cliff Notes: Check ALL recalls, and check out the forums for your potential 'new' car BEFORE you buy it

And yes...the roads in my part of PA are especially horrendous (sp?). I've hit potholes on the road so deep that I completely bottomed out. I scrape my lip absolutely everywhere, and it's a big pain in the ass. My high school had big enough speed bumps that my mom's camry scraped on them. No wonder everyone back home drives trucks and jeeps. Blacksburg is a treat, except for the drive going into Macado's.

Look at the bright side, your crank is much more likely to stay where it's at in the Toyota and the DSM.

And you said something about "friends in school"...you're still in high school?
