Hennessy himself ripped a bunch of people off. Do a search on viperclub.org... many put down deposits of $50,000+ for conversions only to give up their babys for months on end with lies and lies about completion dates. I think one owner got so fed up he flew to wherever Hennessy is (Texas I think) to get his car back. He got in a fist fight w/ John and was arrested (heard on the viper board).
Anyway that car is amazing... and whoever says SRT's can't handle should see my video from Viperdays. The car is much advanced over the GEN II cars. (BTW GEN I is 93-95, GENII is 96-2002, and GENIII is now) GEN II cars handle amazingly, but only in the hands of a great driver. Many think the viper is a nose heavy pig, but they're totally wrong. The Viper is actually weight biased to the REAR yes a shock to me too... the whole big-ass V10 is fully behind the front spindles (like my C5) so technically it's a mid-engine car.
Anyway the SRT-10 got the best stopping distances of ANY car ever tested, even better than the ENZO... yes the Ferrari could do it longer w/ the $30,000 brakes, but the viper will stop quicker... same brakes are on the SRT Competition Coupe.
Anyway that TT is fricken awesome...

I guess no one bothered to just go to the Hennessey site and just find out for themselves. They even have videos for you to watch. They even have a video for the timeslip that was shown on the first page of this thread. They sell this kit for 2003 and up SRT Vipers.

I'm pretty sure John Hennessy made this car. I remember it from the Super Car Challenge. Here is a screen shot from the SCC video:

well, considering the times from the SCC (where street tires were required) were terrible compared to that I'm sure they were running slicks or drag radials.
