I have worked in auto sales and I currently work as a web developer for a large newspaper so I understand publishing too.
1. Most dealerships use the tactic of bait and switch. You advertise a great deal (usually if it is a new car they will have a few offered at this price, if it is a used dealership they may have it or they may of made it up) then the salesman tries to sell you on what he can.
2. Just because you called the day the day the autotrader came out the minute the dealership opened doesn't mean it never existed. The autotrader has a deadline a few days before it is printed so that they can do they layout of it, print it, and then distributed. The car could have been sold in that few days turnover because it was such a great deal.
However, neither was the case most likely because RK does suck!

They let me test drive a STI!
They asked me, so that alone should tell you something and she didn't know jack about the car! Any dealership that will give up the keys that easy is sketchy.

Wow don't anyone have something nice to say about RK? I know a few people work there read this board. Funny don't see them standing up and defending their dealership. Sounds like there must be alot of truth about what has been posted. Shocking they record everything that is said in the offices. Any one know for sure why they are no longer an Volvo dealership? Is it cause they sux so bad?
I posted a thread a while ago about going there to buy an STi. They were so unbelievable rude that I walked out and lost interest in trading my S2000 off. I know all car dealerships can be frustrating sometimes but I'm on my 7th car purchased from a dealer now and I have never had an experiance anywhere NEAR as bad as RK. I honestly can't understand how they stay in business.
a friend of mine works in the service department at RK. he told me that volvo left because RK wasn;t selling enough. he said for like every 10 toyotas 1 volvo was sold. they sucked at pushing volvos. i got that from him but further inquiry should be done into this matter
my dad tried buying a camaro from there once...he kept being led around around and around. Long story short they filled out just about everything, when my dad came to sign all the final paperwork, it was sold. my dad was like fuck you guys....we're leaving. i wouldnt go there if i HAD to. This was quite a few years ago, though, seems much hasnt changed.
