OP is probably suggesting the $80,000 if they sold the car, or something. I don't think it's a bad idea to keep the car. Considering the opprotunity cost (of selling the car), it's worth the investment to keep it for a couple years, and then sell it.
However, I don't see how a Corvette will help find drugs any more than an unmarked Taurus, Accord, etc would.

hell.. its the gov. paying for the gas in that car. You know the head dude is driving that car. Probably takes it home too.

Sad thing is the Z06 probably has the best gas mileage of all the other cars in the force. 28-30mpg in 6th gear @75mph turning 1625 rpms.......................all day.
